HOW CAN I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
If you have received a referral from your health professional, you will need to make the appointment yourself to see the psychologist. As is the case with the majority of health specialists, Sale Psychology Clinic does not call clients to make appointments.
You have several options to make an appointment:
Make a booking online here:
If you book online, we strongly advise that you make several appointments at two weeks interval at the time of your initial booking as appointments book quickly and we cannot guarantee follow-up appointments if you do not do this. If you decide not to return, your subsequent appointments can easily be cancelled and you will not be charged (as long as appointments are cancelled within the 48 hours period before the appointments.
(see Cancellation Policy).

If the answering service is turned on, please leave a message and we will call you back at the earliest convenience.

For new clients only
Once you have made your first appointment, we will send you a letter by email or mail confirming your appointment(s) along with a Patient Intake Form and a Consent Form, which you will need to read, complete and return at your first appointment (if you cannot print this form, don't worry, a copy can be provided to you upon arrival).
Please note that the psychologist may call you to have a brief discussion with you about your needs prior to your first appointment.
(Updated 15th January 2021)
Once an appointment has been made to see the psychologist, a whole hour is reserved for you. If you do not let us know that you cannot attend, there is a loss of revenue for the clinic and we are unable to contact other patients on the waiting list in need of an appointment.
You will receive a SMS reminder 3 days prior to your appointment. Simply respond YES or NO to convey if you will attend or not. It is important you do so, because Sale Psychology Clinic has a strict cancellation policy (we reserve the right to cancel your appointment if you do not respond to our reminder text and/or email).
If, for some reason, you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, please give at least 48 hours’ notice. If not, cancellation fees will be charged as follows:
Cancellation received less than 48 hours prior to your appointment: $100
Non-attendance or cancellation received less than 24 hours prior to your appointment: full fee for the session
We reserve the right to obtain payment from your bank account for any cancelled appointment or non-attendance as per above. Please contact us if you need to make alternative payment arrangements within 24 hours of the cancelled appointment.
You will be unable to re-book or attend subsequent appointments at Dr Brown until your cancellation fee is paid (or arrangements have been made).
We understand that at times emergencies occur and will do our best to take exceptional circumstances into account. Please make sure to communicate with us if this is the case.
Please note that Medicare, WorkCover, DVA, TAC or health insurances do not cover cancellation fees, and it will be your responsibility to cover those fees.
Our cancellation policy applies to both face-to-face and videoconference appointments.
Please feel free to contact us on 5143 0148 if you wish to discuss our cancellation policy.
